How many batteries can the SecondWind charger charge simultaneously, and what type of batteries can be used?

The SecondWind charger can charge up to four batteries at once, and is compatible with both AA and AAA batteries.

Can the SecondWind charger be used to charge other types of batters such as NiMH or even 'rechargeable' batteries?

Yes, however non-alkaline batteries will not fully charge in the charger.

How can you determine the quality of an alkaline battery?

Usually, the heavier the battery, the better it is made. A better made battery translates to a longer battery life and more recharge cycles.

What happens to a battery if it is left in the charger for an extended period of time?

When a battery list left in the charger after being fully charged, it will trickle charge for up to 4 hours. After 4 hours, the SecondWind charger will stop charging the battery.

What kind of construction quality and reliability tests has the SecondWind charger been put through?

The SecondWind charger has been tested to survive drop tests from 3 feet, temperatures from -20 to 60 degrees celsius, and substantial vibration.
